The Kingdoms of This World

The charge that closes the Cyprus and Türkiye report. The island where the gospel first went out is given over to its goddess; the city that gave the church its creed has made its greatest church a mosque; the seven lampstands are fields of ruins. When the church steps out of the Spirit and walks in the flesh, decline sets in and the lampstand is removed. But the Lord who walks among the lampstands is alive forevermore. What He removed He can restore, and every land is His. He must reign.

Here is the tragedy of a people who forget God: when the church steps out of the Spirit and begins to walk in the flesh, declension takes over, and the lampstand is removed.

But this account does not end in ruins. The Lord who walks among the lampstands is alive forevermore, and has the keys. What He removed He can restore. What He planted in Cyprus by Barnabas and Paul He can plant again. And the land of the seven churches is His, as every land is His.

We went to pray it back, and we will go again. Will you pray with us, and will you go?

The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever. He must reign.
