Halifax Christian Fellowship
A people coming out, coming up, gathered to Christ alone. Planted on 19 August 2023 with six souls after a week of prayer, anointing the eastern gates of Nova Scotia, and ministry across Halifax, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.
How it began
Three years before the first journey, the Lord spoke: “Take this Gospel of the Kingdom to the Maritimes and build me a faithful church that I may dwell in.” In August 2023 brothers Chidera and Ekaba Bisong went by faith. On Saturday 19 August, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Dartmouth, eight souls gathered; the first charge was “Babylon is Fallen”. One sister said, “I have been looking for a church until today.” Six souls pledged to meet every Sunday at noon.
In May 2026 we returned. On Saturday 9 May the church held an open meeting at the North Woodside Community Centre in Dartmouth, in the room and on Zoom, on the theme “A Fresh Sight of Christ”. Some came who were new, and one said, “This is actually what I needed.” The brethren arranged the next day's gathering themselves, with a brother of the church to bring the word. Natalie, who stood at its beginning, stands in it still.
The fellowship is not built by men; it is gathered by Christ. Its charter, “Come Up. Come Out. Come, Lord Jesus.”, sets out what coming out of Babylon and coming up to Christ looks like in practice, and four commitments: stay together, centre life around the gathered church, commit to the Body of Christ, and keep the true and living Word always present.
Charter
Come Up. Come Out. Come, Lord Jesus.
The Bride, the call, and the coming King. The Babylon we leave, the Bride He prepares, the call of Revelation 4:1 and 18:4, what coming out and coming up look like, and the four commitments of the fellowship.
