What Is Babylon?

Kingdom Word Missions · Dartmouth, Nova Scotia · 9 de mayo de 2026

Babylon is a system that is no longer about Jesus Christ but about man: from Nimrod's tower, to Nebuchadnezzar's image, to the Babylon of the Revelation. It must be cast out of each of our own lives before it can be cast out from among us. With four charges for building the church together.

Babylon is the symbol of a system that is no longer about Jesus Christ but about man. Wherever man exalts himself in the place of God, there is Babylon: in society, which is to be expected, and, which is far more serious, in the church.

Paul warned the elders of Ephesus that from among themselves men would rise up to draw away the disciples after themselves. John the Baptist did the opposite: He must increase, but I must decrease. A true preacher, preaching Christ, preaches himself out of the pulpit.

Nebuchadnezzar must be cast out of your life before Babylon can be cast out from among us. Then the mind of God for this hour can flow freely among His people. God does not save by many or by few: He sent Gideon's thirty-two thousand home and won with three hundred.

Four charges: stay together, and build friendships beyond the Lord's day; centre your lives on the gathered church; commit to the body, each one taking responsibility for the meeting; and keep the living word of God always present, the pillar and ground of the truth.
