It Is Time
The word given at the first gathering of the Church of Christ, Derby. Christ's words to the Samaritan woman are His words to the church: the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; not by liturgy or form, but as the Spirit leads. And the day of small things: great works begin with simple gatherings, and God chooses the weak things of the world.

The Kingdoms of This World
The charge that closes the Cyprus and Türkiye report. The island where the gospel first went out is given over to its goddess; the city that gave the church its creed has made its greatest church a mosque; the seven lampstands are fields of ruins. When the church steps out of the Spirit and walks in the flesh, decline sets in and the lampstand is removed. But the Lord who walks among the lampstands is alive forevermore. What He removed He can restore, and every land is His. He must reign.

Seven Golden Lampstands
The seven churches of Revelation 1–3 as we found them in August 2026, and the word to each: Pergamum, where Satan's throne is; Thyatira and the woman Jezebel; Sardis, a name that you are alive; Philadelphia, an open door; Smyrna, faithful until death; Ephesus, your first love; Laodicea, neither cold nor hot. All seven were great cities. Today the followers of Christ there are at most a small remnant. The God who took their candlesticks can plant them back again.

Arise, Shine
Taught at Rise, the open meeting of the Fellowship of Christ Church. When God says arise, His command comes with the ability to obey it. Darkness covers the people, but God is set to use those on whom His glory has risen to recover the land. Knowing your rights as a son of God; sitting down in authority; what the law could not do.

Worship in Spirit and in Truth
Reasoned at a kitchen table on the Lord's day. Worship is not something we do but who we are; the Holy Spirit is not Anglican, Presbyterian or Baptist. Truth is not an idea but a person. Two kinds of organisation, Babel and Jerusalem; the gathering of the saints; and readiness, which is not going to church and saying prayers but the putting away of sin.

The Master has need of you

The gospel of the kingdom and the mountain of the Lord's house
The account given to the gentry of Northumberland. The love of the Father rescues us so that we may reign with Christ as sons and daughters. Many mountains fight for our attention, but the mountain of the Lord's house will be established above them all, and in it we learn His ways, not only His acts.

Within my soul, Christ is bringing forth a life that conquers death
From Genesis 3:15: the bruising of the heel is a temporal injury that Christ heals; the crushing of the serpent's head is a mortal injury he can never recover from. The chief work of Satan, death, is eternally defeated in and through Christ.

The Midnight Cry
The invitation to Derby ended at midnight, with the hands of the watch together at twelve. The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: in London, in Derby and in Exeter the Lord is gathering a people for His name, a bride making herself ready. We are not satisfied, but ever filled with more zeal to attack as we have been attacked.

What Is Babylon?
